Privacy notice

Last updated 2 November 2026. Written to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

The short version. Engimations has no sign-up, no accounts and no forms. We do not collect personal data. The only information gathered is ordinary website statistics, such as how many times a page is viewed and which buttons are clicked. These statistics are not used to identify you.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for, or store, your name, email address, phone number, institution, location or any other personal details. There are no comment boxes, no quizzes that send answers to us and no log-in screens. We do not use your camera, microphone or location.

What we do collect

Basic, combined website statistics: page views, clicks, and the general type of device or browser used. They tell us which topics are useful so that we can improve them. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we never sell or share this information.

Like any website, our hosting service may briefly keep standard server records (which can include an IP address) so that the site stays secure and working. We do not use these records to identify or follow individual visitors.

What stays on your device

Your progress ticks (which topics you marked complete) and your light or dark theme choice are saved in your own browser so that they are there when you come back. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Other companies

Engimations does not load fonts, scripts or trackers from other companies. If you follow a link to another website, such as another SeempleSTEM site, that website has its own privacy notice. If a lecturer embeds a model in a learning platform, that platform’s own privacy rules also apply.

Younger learners

Because we do not collect personal data, no parent or guardian consent is needed to use this site. If we ever add a feature that collects personal data, we will update this notice first and obtain consent from a parent or guardian for anyone under 18, as the Act requires.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to know how your personal data is used, to see it, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, and to complain. Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access or erase, but you can still ask us a question at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
